MACRO ECONOMIC

Macro economy, which is one branch of science, macroeconomics can help solve the problems of macro-economic policy. Macroeconomic policy issues include problems related to the management and control of the economy in general. Macroeconomic control task is to keep the economy can work and grow in a balanced, avoid circumstances that could disrupt the balance of the public. There are three short-term macro-economic issues that must be addressed at all times. The third problem is the following:

1. Inflation problem
Inflation is one of the many economic problems experienced by almost all countries. The definition of inflation is an increase in the state trend of prices in general and continuous. Therefore, such a condition is considered as a problem and do not need specific policies to address them. Although it does not automatically lower the standard of living, inflation remains a problem, because it can result in the redistribution of income among members of society, can cause a decrease in economic efficiency, and can lead to changes in output and employment in the community.

2. Unemployment problem

Unemployment occurs because the amount of labor or the labor force exceeds the level of employment available. Based on the unemployment rate, it can be seen whether the economy is at full employment (full employment) or not. Theoretically considered the economy reaches full employment if labor is available entirely used. In our country attempts to reduce the level of unemployment is done by controlling the rate of population growth. Family planning is one of the alternatives to reduce the rate of population growth. This is due to economic development has no meaning when coupled with population growth rates that are too high.

3. Imbalance in the balance of payments problems
The balance of payments is the balance sheet that contains an overview of all transactions occurring between resident population of the country and other countries for a certain period of time, and usually one year. Transactions contained in the balance of payments involving goods and services, in the form of exports or imports, financial transactions, such as giving or receiving of credit to or from other countries, overseas investment and transactions that are unilateral, such as payment transfer of the people who live abroad. Imbalance in the balance of payments of a country can be said to be a problem if the imbalance is large enough. If fact it happens, government policies are needed to address them. In the long term macro-economic issues concerning economic growth issues. The problem basically concerns how to organize the economy so that there is harmony between population growth, increase production capacity, and the availability of funds for investment.

ONE OF THE LOGISTICAL PROBLEM

Ministry of Trade Deal with Problems Logistics SolutionsPosted on April 11, 2013 by Esther Meryana
There are a number of factors behind the high cost of logistics in Indonesia. One of them is a logistical infrastructure is still limited in a number of places. Right now, the government with relevant stakeholders working to address the logistical problems that exist in order to enhance the competitiveness of national products.
In the event logistics workshop with the theme "Challenges and Opportunities Facing Global Markets Logistics Indonesia," in the Ministry of Commerce, on Wednesday (04/10/2013), Gita Wirjawan, Minister of Trade, explained, logistics costs in Indonesia reached 24.64% of Indonesia's GDP in 2011. In fact, the cost of logistics in the United States only reached 9.9%, Japan 10.6%, and South Korea as much as 16.3%.
In fact, according to the survey Logistics Performance Index (LPI) by the World Bank in 2012, Indonesia was ranked 59, or under Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, and Vietnam.
Gita was delivered, one of the causes of the high cost of logistics is the logistics infrastructure in Indonesia is still very limited in eastern Indonesia. In effect, economic growth between the western region with the eastern region is not balanced.
Gita Wirjawan, Minister of Trade (middle)
The other cause is the absence of collateral behind the charge of the eastern region for cargo transport (backhaul), which resulted in freight to the eastern region is higher compared to the western part of Indonesia. "This addition resulted in a disparity between the western and eastern regions, also resulted in a lack of investors to invest their capital, which in turn slows economic growth in the eastern region," he added.
The high cost of logistics in the end led to the competitiveness of Indonesian products will be lower than the same product produced by competing countries. Low competitiveness not only in domestic market but also in international markets.
Supposedly, Gita mentions, integrated logistics systems effectively and efficiently so as to improve the competitiveness of national products on the global and regional markets, and to improve the welfare of the community. "It can be done by lowering logistics costs and ensure the availability of basic and strategic commodities up to the village level," he said.
The Ministry of Trade is actively involved in developing a national logistics system as well as facilitate inter-regional connectivity and logistics
between the vertices, through the Revitalization of Traditional Markets, Development of Regional Distribution Centers / Provincial, and development of logistics network logistics between the vertices in each economic corridor.
In the last four years, the Ministry of Commerce through the Assistance has revitalized the traditional market and 461 units of five National Distribution Center / province with more than Rp 2 trillion. The Ministry is also actively encouraging the establishment and development of special economic zones, optimizing Cikarang Dry Port, as well as encourage the establishment of an international seaport at Kuala Tanjung hub for the western region and Bitung in eastern Indonesia.
Additionally, in an effort to accelerate the world voyage Indonesia as part of the national logistics system, the Ministry of Commerce has initiated so that the shipping industry may choose to use Indonesian-flagged vessels to transport cargo through the application of systems Cost, Insurance and Freight (CIF), is no longer a Free On Board ( FOB). Thus, the cruise industry has a greater opportunity to contribute in the export as well as to increase national economic growth.

RESTRUCTURE TO ENHANCE COMPETITIVENESS
Asus was originally a hardware vendor manufacturing motherboards, laptops and graphic cards for other leading PC manufacturers but later the company also started selling PCs under its own 'Asus' brand. In 2008, as the company grew, the business was split into brands and manufacturing with Asus keeping the brands and the newly-formed offshoots Pegatron and Unihan, focusing on manufacturing. The leaders restructured the businesses for better competitiveness and also to minimise potential conflicts of interest (Pegatron works with competitors , like Apple and HP).
DESIGN THINKING IS A COMPETITIVE ADVANTAGE
With a new avatar in 2008, Asus' top management started pushing a design thinking culture throughout the organisation. Shen says it took two years of constant efforts on the part of the top management for design thinking to percolate down to each person of the organisation.
